You’re Invited to the “Shift Happens” Summit!

On National Good Neighbor Day, tune in to the virtual summit hosted by the Massachusetts Taskforce to End Loneliness & Build Community and AARP Massachusetts.

The theme of this year’s summit is “Shift Happens,” looking beyond the pandemic to address social isolation and forge friendships across Massachusetts.

Highlights will include:

  • Keynote by Marc Freedman, Co-CEO of Encore.org, about the importance of “embracing shift” as we move toward a co-generational approach to healthy aging and problem-solving in the community.

  • Remarks by Senator Patricia Jehlen on the state’s commitment to addressing social isolation and loneliness and improving social well-being for older adults and people of all ages.

  • Panel discussion featuring local community leaders and advocates sharing their innovative approaches.

  • Opportunities to connect, share, and engage with other attendees—and ideas for how to take action in your neighborhood.

We hope you’ll help us spread the word! Everyone is welcome to join—whether you are a local resident, a city official, or even someone outside of Massachusetts looking for inspiration. Consider inviting a colleague or neighbor.
